W.T. Morgan writes, directs and produces for film, television, theater and new media. He wrote and directed an acclaimed documentary on the rock band X, called "X: The Unheard Music." That documentary and his second feature, "A Matter of Degrees," premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. In 1995, the year of its release, "500 Nations" was nominated Best Special of the Year by the National Television Critics Association. Morgan has partnered with Oscar-winning "Dances With Wolves" writer Michael Blake on such projects as "Winding Stair" and "Children of the Dust Bowl."
In addition, he has directed short films for HBO and music videos for MTV, written and produced digital multimedia projects, worked in computer game development and helped create live multimedia touring events such as "Spirit: The Seventh Fire," which premiered on the National Mall as part of the opening ceremonies of the National Museum of the American Indian. Since 1998, Morgan has been chair of the award-winning Actors' Gang theater company in Los Angeles, which was co-founded by artistic director Tim Robbins.
